52 OFFICES IDEA: PART 6
Today is the first day in weeks where I don’t have a brutal creative deadline to meet. Been a great few weeks, lots of high octane creative collaboration with people from all walks of life.
It’s one of the aspects of being a creative gun for hire, you get to meet people from many different areas, not just marketing but fashion, design, teaching, film production, app developers, parents and this week, a fish monger who styles himself “Fishman”.
All of these people have been full of energy and ideas, keen to collaborate, share, discuss. If we (as an industry) can encourage more people from different walks of life to contribute to marketing and advertising, it will be all the richer for it.
After all, anyone can have a great idea.
So, today’s office is my sofa and the iPad. Plenty of dull admin and finance stuff to take care of. I’m trying to resist the siren call of the Iain M Banks book I’m almost finished….Must. Be. Disciplined.
SCULPTURE IDEA:
A striking metal sculpture fixed to a street sign in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
An old fella comes up to me as I take this pic and asks if I knew who put it there.
Sorry, no. Probably a kid for Prat?
“It looks so beautiful when the setting son shines off it…”
Nice to see the older generation appreciating street art this way.
