MUSIC IDEA:

Youth-focused drinks brands are keen to “own” music as a communications platform. Red Bull being no exception.

I have to admire RB’s approach of, “Go big or go home.”

SCARY IDEA:

Fancy having your mind blown?

Well…

I’m in a prospect heights play park on a play date when I see this peculiar sculpture.

Mmmm….

Looks a bit like the ancient “god” Moleck. The one where they’d burn new born babies in a giant furnace under the depiction of an owl. Yup, we humans would do this back in the day to appease these gods and gain favors.

I googled this and found a pretty unnerving site. Read at your own risk. Scary:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IDEA:

These bike racks have just appeared on Fulton St, Brooklyn. Looks as though the bike borrowing system is the same as the London version. Barclays Bank brand the London bikes, these ones are branded by Citi Bank. Good for them.

Wonder if the system will work in the self-proclaimed bike theft capital of the world?

52 OFFICES IDEA: PART 5My office this week was in the park at DUMBO on Monday.  A beautiful day.DUMBO - Down Under the Manhattan Overpass - was badly hit by Sandy but is now back to fighting strength again. In fact, it’s better than ever.  The gorgeous carousel which I last saw floating in the East River, is back where it belongs.  I overheard some fella remark, “gee, can’t believe they give up prime real estate for this!” Twat.  Anyone with kids or even a sense of romance will understand why it’s such a special item. The park is a splendid place to sit with a note book and smartphone to get some work done. The breeze and smell of the river really awakened my senses and provided a productive work environment. If you get a chance, make a point of visiting here on a Sunday for the amazing food market called Smorgasburg.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS IDEA:
Gosh.  Is it really over 4 years since I set up twitter’s first random acts of kindness feed?   If you aren’t familiar please check it out and follow @twipple here
I thought it may be fun to have a competition.  I’ll award the best 140-character random acts of kindness idea with a FREE limited edition book for the best suggestion.
Send to @twipple via DM or email it to me: Ideas@FloydHayes.com
Non-winners will be posted with a shout out and much love to the creator.
I only ever made 20 of these books via a self publishing site - it proved to be a bit expensive to sell, but the books look great.
The illustrations were created by Peter Bonnin. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art.  I forced him to change his style into this cute cartoon effect.  Bless him, he was game.
