Welcome to The Free Agency. The World’s First Honor-Based Communications Agency.

As your Free Agent, I encourage entrepreneurs, investors, brand owners, good causes or business people to take these ideas and do what they want with them.

I'm aiming to operate this scheme on an honor system (if such a thing still exists!)

If you deem the ideas valuable, I'll leave any potential profit share to your good will and conscience.

Should someone take an idea and run with it, I'd invite them to contact me out of courtesy and also so I can post "taken" on the idea to discourage multiple usage.

Ultimately, I'd be delighted if any of the ideas came to life and made a positive difference to an individual or a business.

This is an experiment, perhaps the beginnings of a new model agency (I like the name, “The Free Agent) or perhaps it's something that will be more trouble than it's worth.  We'll see.

If you like The Free Agency project, please share this link to friends and colleagues.

Have fun and thank you.

Floyd. AKA The Free Agent.

IDEA 27: Dial-an-Idea

February 4, 2026

The Background: Years back I was having a meeting at Mother New York. Mother is an agency I’ve always had love for. We lived next door to them for years in the Cunning Stunts London days (which went tits-up, but that’s another story). Meeting is going well, I was pitching the idea of just having me at a desk firing out ideas as and when they needed them. On the way out I saw their British Phone Box in the foyer…

The Idea: I’d sit in the phone box and anyone in the agency network could call and give me a one minute brief, I’d respond with an immediate idea. No need to book a room, host a brainstorm, raise an invoice etc.

The Result: I can’t recall if I ever sent this to them. They don’t return my calls these days. I suspect I’m too old and uncool.

Works For: Any agency network that needs fast ideas without all the palaver. Bonus points if there is a Brit angle here (I’ll throw in the accent for free).

I’d still do this! Get in touch: Ideas@FloydHayes.com
